With August in the air, back-to-school season is brewing. This time of the year is like no other and is one that I especially enjoy, as the possibilities appear endless. The new school year brings the opportunity to be a new you, and what better way to express yourself than through a new wardrobe? In today's article, I will give you my complete guide for all things back-to-school fashion for the 2024-2025 school year.

Figuring out what you want to wear!

The first step to achieving the back-to-school wardrobe of your dreams is figuring out what you want that wardrobe to look like. To do this, I recommend creating a mood board representative of the feelings you want to curate through clothing. This can be as simple as a few Pinterest searches and a digital collage maker.

After completing this step, the fun begins: collecting the pieces you will use for the back-to-school season. Shopping for back-to-school doesn't mean that you need to find another wardrobe entirely. Instead, I would find two or three staples you can incorporate into many outfits. Suggestions for staple pieces are knit cardigans, sneakers, or perfect jeans.

I like to look somewhat put together for the school day, so my personal staples for the back-to-school season include a range of cardigans that can be paired with dresses or jeans. Below, I've included some examples of looks I would wear for the first few days.

Obviously, my desired outfits aren't the ideal back-to-school outfits for everyone, so I've created mini-style boards for various outfit interests below.

The beginning of the school year can also be a great time to partake in traction-gaining trends. Some trends I don't see leaving anytime soon include the Adidas Campus 00s, charm necklaces, and loose jeans, as pictured below.

I hope this guide inspires you on what to wear as school starts back up.

Thanks for reading, and as always, Happy Styling!
