In correspondence with the inauguration of the 47th President of the United States of America, earlier this week, the White House welcomed a family back to its grounds: the Trump's. Across all ages, members of the Trump Family preparedly dressed the part with their attire for celebrating Donald Trump’s inauguration. Here’s what three generations of Trump women wore to the 2025 Inaugural Balls.
Melania Trump
Melania Trump, First Lady and wife to Donald Trump is no stranger to White House fashion. Throughout Donald Trump’s first term in office, Melania fed the fashion world with her classy and eloquent looks while working with her trusted personal stylist, Herve Pierre. Responsible for crafting Melania’s 2017 inaugural gown, which now rests in the Smithsonian, Pierre again took on the task of designing Melania’s 2025 inaugural gown.

The gown blends sophistication with simplicity by pairing a strapless white silhouette and a black zig-zag accent in the gown’s center. Pierre shared a sketch of the floor-length gown on Instagram and wrote, “It was such an honor to create the dress for the First Lady Melania Trump tonight…I can’t thank her enough…It was a wonderful project, a great collaboration as always!!!!”
In another post, Pierre revealed the unique inspiration behind the gown’s zig-zag detail. “How it started…a simple scribble with a marker on a piece of paper can be the beginning of an idea.”
Finally, Melania complimented Pierre’s design with a dazzling diamond ensemble. A flower-shaped Harry Winston jewel on a black ribbon choker completed her look for the Commander-in-Chief Inaugural Ball.
Ivanka Trump
Daughter of Donald Trump and his former wife, Ivana, Ivanka Trump paid tribute to an American icon with her custom Givenchy gown. The gown is a recreation of one designed by the late Hubert de Givenchy seventy years ago and worn by Audrey Hepburn in a 1954 film titled Sabrina. Ivanka’s gown featured a strapless silhouette and black lace detail. Ivanka’s representative told Daily Mail that Ivanka was “‘honored’ to wear the gown and ‘incredibly grateful for the Arnault family and the Givenchy atelier for creating this masterpiece, capturing the original artistry and elegance with remarkable precision and craftsmanship.’”
The two looks worn by Trump and Hepburn shared many similarities. However, Ivanka differentiated her attire for the Liberty Ball by accessorizing with a diamond necklace and swapped Hepburn’s white gloves for a pair of black ones.

Audrey Hepburn’s son, Sean Hepburn Ferrer, weighed in on Ivanka’s look in an exclusive comment to Daily Mail. “It is no wonder that growing up in a family which knew our mother as a household name she chose to draw inspiration from her, to seek the ultimate elegance and class reference, for an occasion such as this one - the inauguration and the 32nd anniversary of our mother’s passing and, most of all, Martin Luther King’s day.”
Kai Trump
Since making her public speaking debut at the Republican National Convention in July, seventeen-year-old Kai Trump has become a social media sensation. As the granddaughter of Donald Trump and daughter of Donald Trump Jr., she’s earned millions of followers on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
In one of her YouTube videos, Kai showcased three dresses she received for the Inaugural Balls and other Inaugural events. While showing the dresses on camera, Kai explained, “All my ball gown dresses are Sherri Hill.” “They look amazing on me,” she added. It was Kai’s first time wearing the designer's clothes. However, she had previously heard of Sherri Hill: “She’s a really good designer. I’ve heard of her before.”
Kai’s dress at the Liberty Ball was a sparkling silver ensemble with a cutout on one side. It featured a plunging neckline and diamond gems adorning the fabric. Kai finalized her look with jewelry and a pair of crystal sandals. Kai posted a TikTok video in her gown, which has already amassed over twenty-four million views on the app.
